A source told The Sun: ‘Charlie’s a brilliant signing. She has a huge fanbase from EastEnders and has tons of personality and feisty energy. The ITV bookers hope she can recreate some of her on-screen I’m a Celeb magic.
‘They are making the most of the fact many female stars have avoided Strictly this year amid all the scandal. It’s going to be a belting line-up.’
Earlier lat month, Charlie has turned to a raunchy dating site that endorses ‘kinky sex, shared partners and threesomes’ in a bid to find her Mr. Right.
The actress has signed up to Feeld, a location-based dating app for ‘open-minded individuals.’
Subscribers can choose their sex from more than 20 options based on their preferred sexual quirks and fetishes, with polyamorous, bi-curious and pansexual among those on offer.
According to her own dating profile, mother-of-one Charlie is – at the time 42 – straight and – in a sub-section headed ‘desires’ – looking for single partners.

Holly Willoughby is expected to return to her long-running presenting role on the show when it launches in January
Previously, she welcomed daughter Kiki, now 18-years old, in 2004 following a romance with Ibiza based nightclub owner Tony Truman.
They maintained an amicable relationship after separating in 2007, with Charlie later admitting he had moved into a flat directly above the one she shared with then boyfriend Ben.
She told Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time: ‘We woke up on Christmas Day together. Tony would come down, we’d all get into bed and open presents with Kiki.
‘We are going to grow old together, just in a very different way. He is absolutely my family and nothing will ever change that.’
‘I woke up in the middle of the night about four years ago and went, ”Why isn’t there a vibrator that surrounds the clitoris, that surrounds the vulva and doesn’t penetrate?” she said.
‘I just had this idea and was like there must be something like this on the market, and then I did research and there was nothing.’
Charlie also shared the news on Instagram, telling followers: ‘So. The secret is out. I designed a vibrator. I know. Wild. Battled through a lot of everything to get this to you today. Four years in the making. I started from where I was.
‘Ordered some clay. Talked to friends, product designers, anyone who knew anyone who might help. I reached out. It’s Called The U. And it’s all about U. It’s won a f***** award!’
She said she was backed in the idea by Jacqueline Gold, the CEO of racy lingerie brand Ann Summers.
‘I couldn’t be more grateful and proud… It’s so much more than just a vibrator. It’s about a somebody who wants to see what else they can do, battle through their own fear and self doubt, be curious and learn more about their self, body and mind.
‘I was fed up of not feeling comfortable in my body. Realised I didn’t know enough about it, so I went on a journey of the body and mind.’
‘It’s a powerful one, and I’d love U to go on one too. I’m no life coach or expert on ANYTHING, and I do NOT always get it right. But I can share my experience. And maybe you’ll be inspired too.’
Charlie recently admitted she had given up drinking alcohol in an attempt to know herself more intimately after a ‘lifetime of partying.’
She told The Daily Mail: ‘I’ve loved partying my whole life, but if I’m honest with myself, like a relationship that has come to an end, that lifestyle just wasn’t serving me.

‘So in the past few years, I’ve been getting to know myself and my fears in the most intimate way.
‘By choosing to stop drinking, I have learnt to sit with my feelings, not run away from them. I have leaned in to everything that scares me — making big career choices and starting my business, iampro, an online drama school that aims to make the arts accessible.’
She added: ‘I am a confident woman who can be riddled with self-doubt. But instead of trying to manage fear by distracting myself — that is, having a drink — now I move towards it. I see it as an opportunity to be brave.’
