A MUSLIM teen was tied up and left to drown after reportedly shaming her hard-line dad by ditching her head scarf, Dutch prosecutors claim.

Ryan Al Najjar, 18, was found gagged and dumped in a Dutch swamp in an apparent honour killing last May, four days after disappearing from her Joure home.

Prosecutors are now seeking 25 years for her father, Khaled, and 20 years for her two brothers, who referred to her as a “pig” that had to be “slaughtered” in chats where they planned the savage attack.

Cowardly Khaled has since fled to Syria and will be tried in absentia for masterminding the killing.

The teen had reportedly struggled with traditional beliefs and humiliated her family by mixing with boys, posting on social media, refusing to cover her hair and adopting a “Western” lifestyle.

But the breaking point, prosecutors say, was a TikTok livestream showing Ryan wearing makeup and no headscarf.

‘KILLER’ FAMILY

Gagged & tied teen thrown into swamp ‘by her BROTHERS in honour killing’

Mohamed, 23, and Muhanad, 25, allegedly carried out the barbaric act on the order of their father Khaled, after the sick trio tracked her down in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

A prosecutor said: “Honour killings are completely unacceptable,”

“This is a form of femicide.”

A probe launched into the murder discovered a pattern of intimidation and control in the household, with the teen’s behaviour reportedly bringing shame on the family.

Her brothers and father allegedly discussed how best to murder her on a family app.

Suggestions ranged from poisoning her to forcing the abused girl to hang herself.

A prosecutor said: “They saw Ryan as a burden that had to be removed,

“She was a young woman who simply wanted to live her own life.”

The brothers insist the slaying was carried out by their father alone – claims backed by their sisters.

The fugitive father allegedly sent two emails to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf claiming sole responsibility and saying his sons were innocent.

But prosecutors have rubbished their claims and allege that they colluded in WhatsApp conversations where they discussed their modus operandi.

The three texted about avoiding motorways, bringing the tape – sixteen metres of which was used to tie her down – where they should ditch the girl’s lifeless body.

CCTV shows the car travelling towards the Lelystad site where she was eventually discovered.

Phone data shows that at least one of the brothers met up with the despicable dad to lead the frightened girl, in the dark, to the swamp where she was dumped.

DNA discovered under the girl’s fingernails and on the tape used to restrain her matched her dad’s.

Ryan had previously been under police protection, but that ended before her murder.

The teen spent stints in institutions and shelters as threats from her family piled up.

Police have not disclosed why the protection ceased.
