A Culver City man says two thieves stole his classic car and motorcycle from his garage early in the morning on Father’s Day while he was home all day.

Daniel Chavarria told KTLA that he was home all day on Sunday and never realized his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and 1964 Chevy Impala were gone until he went to take out the trash later in the afternoon.

Upon checking the security cameras inside his apartment complex’s gated parking lot, he saw that two suspects had taken his property around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

Footage sent in by Chavarria shows one of the men inspecting the vehicles – including going under the hood of the classic Impala – while the other appeared to be talking on the phone to someone behind the car for almost the whole video.

After seemingly passing the thief’s inspection, he proceeded to the back of the Acura SUV parked directly next to the Impala; however, the car blocked what exactly he was doing.

Chavarria did not say whether the Acura belonged to him or someone else.

He did note that he was told to file a stolen property report with the Los Angeles Police Department but had to wait for their delayed arrival since many officers were dispatched to help with protest coverage.

No sightings of the Impala or the Harley-Davidson were immediately reported.
