A multi-vehicle crash on the 134 Freeway near the Los Angeles neighborhood of Eagle Rock set off a bizarre chain of events, including a manhunt, that continues to evolve with police locking down the neighborhood.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of the multi-vehicle collision in the eastbound lanes of the 134 Freeway, west of Figueroa Street, just after 3 p.m.
Moments after the crash, as many as three suspects fled the scene on foot into the neighborhood.
Preliminary, though unconfirmed reports, suggest that one of those suspects, a male, ran into a nearby home in the 1200 block of Eagle Vista Drive and then into the backyard where he got into the home’s swimming pool.
At around 4 p.m., a woman allegedly emerged from the home and fired a gun.

Shortly after that, the male suspect, who had taken his clothes off to get into the pool, was seen in his underwear as police took him into custody.
Just before 5 p.m., two women emerged from the home with their hands up, as they waited on law enforcement, who eventually ordered them down to the street and took them into custody.
One of the women was taken to L.A. Fire Department medical personnel standing by and taken to the hospital for unknown injuries.
At around 5:45 p.m., a juvenile exited the home with his hands raised and was escorted to a waiting patrol vehicle.
It is unclear if there are any outstanding suspects related to the crash on the 134 Freeway.
Fire officials did confirm that one person involved in the crash was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries by ambulance.
So far, there have been no reports of any injuries to officers.
