COPS are desperately hunting an alleged “serial flasher” who has been “exposing himself” to people near a school for over a month.
The “flasher” has struck several times since the end of September with the latest incident coming on November 11.
All of the alleged incidents happened near Mark Rutherford school in Bedfordshire.
It remains unclear if the suspected “flasher” has been targeting pupils at the school.
A senior officer with Bedfordshire Police said the incidents can be “deeply distressing.”
The force added that flashing is illegal and often used to intimidate, harass or groom.
Officers have been carrying out extra patrols in the area in the wake of the harrowing incidents.
Cops are now asking anyone with any information that could help identify the man to come forward.
A spokesman for the force said: “Officers are appealing for witnesses after a series of indecent exposures in the Wentworth Drive area of Bedford.
“Most of these have been around the Mark Rutherford school, near the underpass, although some have been elsewhere in the vicinity.
“Reports started at the end of September and the last was on November 11, but we believe there may be further incidents that have not been reported.
“Officers have been carrying out extra patrols in the area in a bid to identify the man.”
Detective Sergeant Zoe Keepin said: “We are appealing for anyone who has seen anything suspicious or has other any information to get in touch as this can help us identify him.
“This isn’t just inappropriate, it’s illegal. It can be deeply distressing and is often used to intimidate, harass, or groom.
“Reporting helps us identify individuals who may pose a risk to others and allows us to target areas where these behaviours are occurring.”
“Incidents like this can cause significant public concern and can be deeply distressing to witnesses.
“If you see or experience an incident of indecent exposure, police advise that you: Move to a safe place. Avoid confrontation. Report it to police.
“Your report could prevent further harm and help protect others.”
