GAITHERSBURG, Md. (DC News Now) — Three buildings were evacuated after contractors hit a natural gas line, causing a water main break Monday evening in Gaithersburg.
Pete Piringer, spokesperson for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, said some contractors hit a natural gas line at around 7:30 p.m. while working on 14 S. Frederick Ave. between W. Diamond and Cedar Avenues.
It caused a water main break which resulted in three buildings having to be evacuated.
