WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Washington Commanders are preparing for their Sunday match-up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The team has been having to practice with some controversy, however, as an employee made derogatory comments about the team and fans in a viral video.
Rael Enteen, Vice President of Content for the Commanders, was fired Thursday. Enteen was recorded by an O’Keefe Media Group reporter without his knowledge. Enteen was under the impression that he was on a date, there were drinks in his hand in the video as well.
None of what was said has been confirmed.
The Commanders released a statement condemning the allegations made by Enteen. He was fired Thursday morning after the video’s release.
This adds to an already hectic offseason for the team. With all the offseason distractions, players are pushing to keep their focus on what they can control.
The team takes on Tampa Bay on Sunday at 4:25 p.m.
