OXON HILL, Md. (DC News Now) — One thing Commanders fans can bet on is that it is going to be a huge game with everything on the line as the Washington Commanders prepare to battle the Eagles on Sunday in Philadelphia.
DC News Now spoke to some Commanders fans Thursday night at MGM National Harbor at the BETMGM Sportsbook Lounge who are ready to put their money on Washington. Reggie Scott made a wager hoping his team could win one more playoff victory.
“At the end of the day, you can collect the money. That’s what it’s all about the coins. If they win this game I think they have a good chance to win the Superbowl,” Scott said. “Philadelphia is going I think will be the hardest test for them this year but even if they don’t win the strides, they have reached is remarkable.”
Scott said he has already won $5,000 this season.
BETMGM regional Manager Jennifer Calcagno said there is a big buzz in the DMV and at MGM National Harbor.
“Right now to give you a little insight the country is taking Washington,” Calcagno said.
She said many have been coming in to make wagers hoping to score some cash.
“Anyone looking to get in on the action with the Commanders, Eagles matchup you can place your bet at one of our sportsbook locations. Obviously, it is a super exciting time in the DMV with the Commanders making it as far as they have. We are feeling the buzz in the DMV,” Calcagno said.
