The 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival lineup is causing quite the stir.

On Monday night, organizers confirmed that Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber and Karol G will headline next year’s event, set for April 10–12 and April 17–19 in Indio, California.

They’ll be joined by an eclectic roster that spans genres and generations, including electronic act Anyma, Young Thug, The xx, Turnstile, David Byrne, FKA twigs, Addison Rae and Ethel Cain.

Legacy artists Iggy Pop, Moby, and Devo also earned spots on the packed schedule, while Radiohead appeared under a mysterious note teasing The Bunker Debut of Kid A Mnesia.

Despite the star power, reactions online have been far from unanimous.

‘This is quite literally the worst Coachella lineup I’ve ever seen and I’ve been going for a decade,’ one X user complained.

Another asked: ‘Am I just getting old or does the Coachella lineup continue to get worse every year?’

‘What a garbage lineup,’ a third grumbled.

A fourth insisted: ‘There has ever been a worse Coachella lineup in the history of the festival… and I’m really not one for hating on Coachella.’

One even compared the lineup to someone leaving their ‘iPhone on shuffle at a college party’ and calling ‘it a festival.’

‘Lowkey disappointed. I feel like there are usually a lot more well-known artists,’ a fifth tweeted.

Others insisted they had ‘no idea who 98% of these people or bands are’ on the lineup.

Still, some festivalgoers defended the mix.

‘JUSTIN BIEBER HEADLINING COACHELLA OH MY F**KING GOD,’ one Belieber raved.

Another gushed: ‘Sabrina and Bieber headlining together is wild.’

MTV even tweeted: ‘Bieber Fever really is uncurable because why did I scream, cry & throw up a little when I found out @justinbieber is headlining Coachella.’

Others pointed out that Sabrina Carpenter ‘manifested’ headlining the huge festival while performing at Coachella last year.

Before leaving the stage, she told the audience: ‘Coachella, see you back here when I headline!’

After the lineup was revealed, one fan tweeted: ‘Miss Sabrina Carpenter returning to Coachella as a headliner like she said she would.’

A second wrote: ‘Sabrina said a year ago that she’d headline Coachella when she would next be there and now look at where she’s at. I’m so proud of her.’

The booking also marks a major milestone for Bieber as he has never officially been billed at the festival, despite making surprise cameos during Ariana Grande, Daniel Caesar, Chance the Rapper, Tems and Wizkid’s sets.

The two-time Grammy winner’s 2026 appearance will be his first full concert in over three years, following his last live performance in September 2022.

The Baby hitmaker hasn’t headlined a major tour since cancelling his 49-date Justice World Tour after coming down with Ramsay Hunt syndrome

For Karol G, it’s a long-awaited return.

The Colombian superstar made her Coachella debut in 2022, but this will be her first major set behind her new album Tropicoqueta, released in June.

Last year, the Coachella headliners were Lana Del Rey and Tyler, the Creator and Doja Cat.

Weekend passes – ranging in price between $549-$1,299 – go on sale this Friday at 1pm ET.
