CNN announced additional new White House team members to cover the Donald Trump administration.
As previously reported, Kaitlan Collins will serve as chief White House correspondent while also continuing to anchor her primetime show The Source. She’ll be returning to Washington from New York.
Kristen Holmes has been named senior White House correspondent, having previously been national correspondent, including spending the past two years on the trail covering Trump’s campaign.
Alayna Treene, reporter covering Trump’s campaign, will serve as a CNN reporter covering the White House.
Chief National Affairs Correspondent Jeff Zeleny also will cover the Trump administration, including a focus on the influence and impact of the new administration’s policies.
Others will cover major issues of the new administration. Phil Mattingly, CNN anchor and chief domestic correspondent, will focus on cross-platform coverage of the economy, and correspondent Priscilla Alvarez will report on immigration. Kevin Liptak, who has covered the White House for CNN since 2013, will serve as senior White House reporter.
Betsy Klein will serve as senior White House producer, having covered the Biden, Trump and Obama administrations.
CNN is the latest network to announce changes to its White House team, which is typical with a new administration. In 2023, CNN hired Kayla Tausche, who had been at CNBC, to serve as senior White House correspondent. A spokesperson said that additional Washington assignments will be announced at a later date.
On Capitol Hill, Manu Raju will continue as CNN anchor and chief congressional correspondent. That includes hosting Inside Politics Sunday with Manu Raju. Lauren Fox will continue as congressional correspondent and Annie Grayer and Sarah Ferris will continue on the team as congressional reporters.
