A person was seriously injured Sunday morning after a collision involving a fire engine being driven by a member of the Los Angeles Fire Department, authorities confirmed.
According to the department, the incident occurred at about 10:45 a.m. on the 13000 block of W Terra Bella Street in the Pacoima neighborhood of L.A., just outside of Whiteman Airport.
The sole occupant inside the vehicle that collided with the fire engine was transported to a local hospital where they remain in at least serious condition.
A pair of LAFD firefighters were also transported with non-life threatening injuries.
As of 11:40 a.m., it wasn’t clear how the collision occurred.
No additional details were immediately made available.
