The wildfires that hit Los Angeles this month are already suspected to be some of the most expensive natural disasters ever, but much of that is driven by the widespread devastation in moneyed areas like the Pacific Palisades.

But as it turns out, private property owners weren’t the only ones affected.

A City of Los Angeles report indicates that about $350 million worth of public infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, the Los Angeles Times reports.

City Administrative Officer Matt Szabo told the City Council that the price tag is probably going to go up as more information is learned.

“These are initial estimates,” he told the council. “They will likely grow.”

These numbers also only apply to the city of Los Angeles.

County-owned structures and those within affected cities like Altadena will be accounted for separately, officials say.
