Los Angeles City crews cleaned a homeless encampment in a flood channel near Highland Park Monday.
Tents and makeshift structures were being dismantled and removed from the Arroyo Seco Flood Channel adjacent to the 110 Freeway.
Individuals living in the shelters were being removed and directed to city crews for resources.
As of Monday afternoon, the majority of the encampments had been cleared and video from Sky5 showed park rangers driving through the wash area, accompanied by a large group of city workers assisting in the cleanup.
The cleanup effort remained ongoing, with crews continuing to clear the area to ensure public safety and restore the flood channel’s functionality.
More updates were expected as the cleanup progresses.
