Los Angeles’ longest-running outdoor movie series will return to Hollywood Forever Cemetery this summer for its 24th season.

The latest summer Cinespia series will open Memorial Day weekend with screenings of “The Big Lebowski” on May 24 and the 30th anniversary celebration of “Clueless” on May 25, organizers announced Tuesday.

A special tribute screening of David Lynch’s “Blue Velvet” will take place on May 31, and more summer screenings are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

“Cinespia has always been a love letter to Los Angeles and to the movies that shaped us,” said Cinespia founder John Wyatt. “We’re honored to begin this season with two unforgettable portraits of our city, and a tribute to the great David Lynch.”

Each event will feature onsite DJs, food and drinks, a free themed photo booth, and a beer and wine bar. Guests are welcome to bring their own blankets, food and beverages, organizers said.

Cinespia began with a screening of “Strangers on a Train” for a few hundred people and has since become a popular Los Angeles summer tradition, attracting up to 4,000 attendees per night.

Screenings will take place on the Fairbanks Lawn at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, located at 6000 Santa Monica Blvd. Tickets and additional event information are available at cinespia.org.
