Chip Gaines has no complaints when it comes to his wife Joanna’s Halloween costume this year!
The Fixer Upper star, 49, gave a cheeky response when the topic of his wife’s spooky outfit came up during their Oct. 22 appearance on Today. It all started when hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb asked what their 6-year-old son Crew is going to dress up as this year.
“He wants to be Miles, the Spider-Man,” Joanna explains, referring to the fan-favorite character from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. “So he’ll be Miles and I’ll be the Ghost-Spider.”
Chip cuts in, “So she’s this white version of Spider-Man. It’s awesome, and terribly sexy, may I say.” Joanna looks at her husband and lets out a laugh.
Both Kotb and Guthrie start giggling as Guthrie says, “See you’re 50, still got it,” referring to Chip’s upcoming milestone birthday in November.
Once the laughter dies down, Kotb asks Chip about his costume this year.
“I’m going to dress up as probably, like Bob the Builder,” he answers. With a smile, Guthrie then suggests, “a Chippendale?” referring to the male dancers.
Chip responds, “Chippendale. There you go, as we’re spicing it up here.”
Last year, Joanna rocked another matching costume with Crew when the pair dressed up as a Ghostbusters duo.
Joanna rocked a Ghostbusters costume as she ran around Magnolia headquarters and chased Crew, who was dressed up as a ghost. She documented the funny scene in a video shared to her Instagram on Oct. 31, 2023.
Later in the clip, the tables turn and Joanna is then chased by the ghost, who ends up tripping and falling, losing his pants.

“No 👻 was harmed in the making of this video,” she joked in her caption.
Along with Crew, the Magnolia Network co-founders share four more children: sons Drake, 19, and Duke, 16, and as well as daughters Ella, 18, and Emmie, 14.
