This weekend, some of Hollywood’s biggest names are joining forces for a good cause.
Project Angel Food’s Lead with Love 6 telethon returns to KTLA 5 on June 28 with KTLA 5 Morning Show anchor Jessica Holmes will be hosting alongside actor Eric McCormack and comedian Loni Love.
“Every cent of your donation during the show goes directly toward preparing and delivering medically tailored meals for neighbors most in need,” Project Angel food explained.
This year’s event, which is presented by City National Bank along with Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation, will show extra love to Los Angeles following the catastrophic wildfires in January.
“General Hospital” actor Cameron Mathison will take viewers on an emotional journey back to the site of his home that was destroyed by the Eaton Fire in Altadena where he will meet a client of Project Angel Food “among the ashes” as they find “the strength, solidarity, and hope that Project Angel Food brings in the face of loss.”
Barbra Streisand, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jimmy Kimmel, Jack Black, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Annie Lennox, Matt Bomer, Edward James Olmos, Nathan Lee Graham, Lori Loughlin, Steven Weber, and Wilson Cruz are among the many stars who will be taking part to offer powerful messages to uplift and inspire.
Of course, the night won’t be complete without some music.
Viewers will be treated to performances by Air Supply, Foreigner, Richard Marx, Cheyenne Jackson, Em Beihold and Jennifer Holliday. Pentatonix’s Scott Hoying and Loren Allred are also set to perform an exclusive duet.
Amy Yasbeck, Bianca Del Rio, Duff Goldman, Jai Rodriguez, Luenell, Michael Hitchcock, and Lawrence and Gregory Zarian will be staffed on the celebrity phonebank taking your calls live on the air.
