When I first got in the water, there was only one shark circling around our boat, and it was easy to keep an eye on it, but pretty soon, others started arriving. Swimming with 3-4 sharks made it evident that they are pack hunters. One will distract you while the others try to get you from behind. Once the fifth shark arrived, I knew it was time to get out of the water. The image of the split shark was made as I hung from the edge of the dinghy. I have swam with many species of sharks, and these are by far the most beautiful. There is something absolutely intimidating about seeing an oceanic whitetip emerge from the depths and shoot straight at you with its pectoral fins extended like the wings of a fighter jet. They are truly magnificent creatures.
