VIGILANTES who led the push to cover our streets in Union flags have filmed themselves smashing small boat engines hidden on French beaches.

The Raise the Colours activists are trying to stop would-be migrants from crossing the Channel.

The activists, from Raise The Colours, filmed themselves digging up a migrant boat engine hidden on a French beach
The group of men then could be seen smashing the engine to stop it from being used by migrants attempting to cross the Channel

In their latest clip, they dig up a dinghy engine buried in the dunes by people smugglers.

They can be heard saying: “We’ve told the authorities that we’ve found this buried, we’ve f***** it up.”

Co-leader of the group Ryan Bridges previously filmed himself chasing men trying to board a dinghy in Gravelines – with not a French cop in sight.

The group say they have been to France three times in the last two weeks and film each outing for their YouTube channel, asking for viewers to give them money.

There have been no crossings from France since last Friday when 217 people arrived in three overcrowded dinghies.

Bad weather has thwarted any more boats for the last six days but more than 39,000 people have already come across the Channel this year alone.

President Emmanuel Macron pledged to adopt tougher tactics to stop the boats as part of an agreement signed with Sir Keir Starmer in summer.

But so far cops across the Channel have dragged their heels over the changes over fears it could put peoples’ lives at risk.

The UK has given France £480 million to help stop the boats with investment in policing and new technology.

Dunkirk prosecutors said they had received complaints about the group and cops are investigating.
