Kevin said: “The strike is an embarrassment for the city of Birmingham.

“I’ve done this to show them all up. It’s gone on too long, it’s ridiculous.”

Kevin’s rubbish calendar is his latest creation – and comes after ones showcasing roundabouts, road kill, prisons and car parks.

He went on: “What could be more mundane than rubbish.

“It’s a calendar like no other that chronicles Birmingham’s non-rubbish collection. Bin there, not done that.”

“I’m in in full support of this strike.

“I place the full blame on the Birmingham Council who I believe are penalising the bin workers through their own incompetence in the running of the city’s council.

“Through this calendar and other merchandise I hope to raise awareness to the plight of the citizens of Birmingham who have to endure their streets filled with over-flowing filth.”

Binmen in the city have been on strike for almost seven months in a dispute over pay and the loss of some posts.

They were furious after the local authority unveiled changes to improve waste collection services.

But union bosses said it would see some workers suffer pay cuts of up to £8,000.

Birmingham City Council walked away from negotiations in July saying it could not improve its offer.
