A BRITISH tourist is said to be “very serious” condition after being run over by a taxi in Ibiza.
The 34-year-old was reportedly hit by the cabbie after falling into the road “drunk” in popular tourist spot San Antonio.
The vehicle is said to have allegedly driven over him.
An ambulance stabilised him at the scene before he was rushed to Can Misses Hospital in Ibiza.
The near-tragedy happened around 9.30pm Wednesday night.
Local reports said the holidaymaker was in a “very serious” condition with multiple injuries when he was assisted at the scene.
It comes after a 70-year-old British man remained in critical condition after struggling in water off the paradise Spanish island of Formentera.
Overnight sources at Can Misses said the man was pulled out of the water at picture-postcard Ses Illetes beach by lifeguards who performed life-saving CPR on him.
Emergency responders stabilised him on the sand before an ambulance took him initially to the island hospital.
Doctors then decided he should be flown by helicopter to Can Misses Hospital in Ibiza given the seriousness of his condition.
The near drowning occurred just after 3.30pm Wednesday afternoon.
The Brit, who has not been named, was reportedly in intensive care last night as he fought for his life.
It was not immediately clear if he was alone at the time of the near-drowning or with family or friends.
See Illetes, which has been dubbed as the one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, is the island’s most famous beach.
There are more than 450 metres of sand divided into two parts by a small rocky area in the middle.
It is nestled within the Ses Salines de Eivissa and Formentera Natural Park.
Last week two British holidaymakers lost their lives after being swept away by a torrent of water in a flooded Majorca canyon.
The pair were named as Alexander Johnson, 32, and his girlfriend Sarah Jane Thompson, 26.
They had been hiking through the canyon, called the Torrent de Pareis, when the tragedy occurred during a surprise storm.
