Bride-to-be Brittany Hockley has revealed a huge faux pas with her wedding invitations for her upcoming nuptials with fiancée Benjamin Siegrist.
The Bachelor star, 37, became engaged to the Swiss soccer player, 32, back in June, and some wording surrounding the dress code had been lost in translation for the couple’s international guests.
Brittany said there was a hilarious miscommunication over her instruction for ‘no thongs’ at the wedding.
Speaking on her Life Uncut podcast, she explained that her dress ‘dos and dont’s’ were pretty standard, but her choice of words proved confusing for some.
‘Ben and I sent out the save-the-date invites and he’s like, “Babe, I’ve been getting these random messages, people keep asking me about the dress code,”‘ she told co-host Laura Byrne.
After Brittany explained Ben had received ‘four or five’ messages from overseas guests regarding the dress code, the penny finally dropped after a female friend of Ben’s also questioned a ‘no thongs’ rule.
‘She was like, ‘How strict is it? What if it doesn’t go with my dress,”‘ Brittany recalled.
‘And then she goes, “Well I don’t understand how she’s going to know if I wear it” and he was like, “She’s going to see it.”‘

The miscommunication riled up the pal who called Brittany’s dress code request ‘perverted’ after Ben explained his bride would be able to see the offending items quite clearly on the day.
‘Ben was like, “They’re going to be on your feet so she’ll see them” and she was like, “A thong is a G-string” and he was like, “Oh my God, there is a language barrier here.”‘
Most Aussies call flip-flops thongs, which are not often worn at weddings.

However, in Europe and much of the rest of the world a thong is a skimpy woman’s undergarment.
‘Ben calls me and he goes, “Babe half of the wedding thinks you’ve said they’re not allowed to wear G-strings.”
‘Strict enforcement, full briefs or nothing.’
Brittany also confessed on her podcast recently that she was ‘revolted’ to discover her future hubby enjoys eating cottage cheese from a tub.
‘Just last night I got a new ick from Ben,’ she began.
‘He always sits down with his tub of yoghurt when we FaceTime each other but this time it was a bit chunky,’ Brittany explained.
‘I asked him what he was eating and he said it was cottage cheese.’
Brittany said Benjamin told her he had ‘just discovered it, loves it and buys them in bulk.’

‘He ate is raw, out of the tub… I just think it’s revolting,’ she confessed.
Her co-host Laura added: ‘It doesn’t surprise me though. Elite athletes eat the weirdest s**t. I’m not as offended as you are.’

Brittany went Instagram official with Swiss goalkeeper Benjamin in January last year.
The duo met in November 2022 on the celebrity dating app Raya.
At the time the goalkeeper’s soccer team, the Glasgow-based Celtic FC, was playing in Australia against Sydney FC.
