Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica (BVMF:), which rose 7.25% or 0.20 points to trade at 2.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Azul SA Pref (BVMF:) added 4.87% or 0.29 points to end at 6.24 and Cyrela Brazil Realty SA (BVMF:) was up 4.51% or 0.93 points to 21.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:), which fell 6.66% or 0.43 points to trade at 6.03 at the close. 3R Petroleum Oleo E Gas Sa (BVMF:) declined 2.28% or 0.41 points to end at 17.55 and Atacadao SA (BVMF:) was down 1.95% or 0.18 points to 9.07.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 506 to 427 and 53 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:) fell to all time lows; down 6.66% or 0.43 to 6.03.
The , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 0.35% to 28.75 a new 1-month high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.35% or 9.50 to $2,680.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.69% or 1.18 to hit $71.01 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 2.92% or 7.70 to trade at $256.45 .
USD/BRL was unchanged 0.07% to 5.44, while EUR/BRL fell 0.53% to 6.02.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 101.37.
