A BABYSITTER allegedly beat a six-year-old boy to death with a piece of wood while his mum was at work.
Disney-loving Chance Crawford was brutalised after Ernest Lamar Love, 41, is suspected of flying into a rage when the boy wet himself at the park.
His mum Charlyn Saffore had dropped the little boy off with Love – a man she had at church – while she went to work her night shift as a nurse in Placentia, California.
She considered the babysitter a “trusted friend” – and described his alleged killing of her young son as “brutal”.
The boy’s dad Vince Crawford also branded the babysitter a “monster”.
Love – a barber – is said to have beaten Chance with a piece of wood before pouring bleach on his wounds.
He then allegedly forced the little boy – who was in year one at school – to do “push-ups, sit-ups, and jumping jacks”.
Chance collapsed after the beating and was left struggling to breathe – with Love then driving him to hospital at around 01.30am.
Doctors reportedly discovered chunks of flesh were missing from the boy – with raw gaping wounds.
He was also suffering from brain swelling and other injuries consistent with violent shaking.
Chance later died in hospital.
Love had called Chance’s mum – telling her that he had been doing jumping jacks and that he then collapsed.
Vince Crawford, the boy’s dad, told KTLA: “Seeing my son like that and in the condition he was in, in critical condition from the time he was brought in, it’s just devastating.
“He didn’t even die peacefully. He died a tragic death and it’s not fair.”
He branded Love a “monster” as the barber was charged with murder and torture.
Vince added: “He deserves what’s coming. I’m going to let God handle him.”
His mum Charlyn told ABC7: “I was genuinely blindsided. I trusted him with my son.
“He died a brutal death. It was brutal. He did not deserve to go out that way.”
She added: “He came in my son’s life just as a male figure.
“He taught him things. He helped him overcome certain fears that my son had.”
