A BODY has been found in the search for a missing woman who was last seen at a garage.
Elaine, 80, was reported missing from her home in Wellesbourne, Warwickshire on Sunday morning, police said.
Warwickshire Police said she was last spotted at a garage south of the county at around 6am on Sunday morning.
The force had launched an earlier appeal after becoming “increasingly concerned” over her wellbeing.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious and her family are being supported by officers.
A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said: “We’re sad to report that a body has been found in the search for Elaine, who went missing from Wellesbourne this morning.
“Her next of kin has been informed and is being supported by officers.
“Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeal – our thoughts remain with Elaine’s family at this difficult time.”
It comes after cops tragically discovered the body of a missing woman who vanished more than two weeks ago.
Concerns had been growing for Christine Murton, 78, who disappeared after leaving her home in Ipswich, Suffolk, on November 12.
Christine was reported missing in the evening after she was believed to have left her house in Rushmere St Andrew that morning.
Before her mysterious disappearance, the pensioner was captured on CCTV walking a few streets away from her home.
Her car, a blue Toyota Yaris, was then discovered at a retail park in the nearby Pinewood area.
Suffolk Police later confirmed a body had been discovered in woodland close to Stratton Hall.
And cops searching for a missing 82-year-old farmer who vanished said they found a body last week.
Police made the discovery on Tuesday in a field close to Danethorpe Lane in Nottinghamshire.
It comes just days after the body of missing Brian Wright’s son Charles was discovered in an outbuilding at the family’s farm in Langford.
Nottinghamshire Police are treating the case as a suspected murder-suicide and are not pursuing anyone else in connection with the deaths.
