Bluey fans are in for a special Easter treat next month.
The popular program’s stage production, Bluey’s Big Play, will be aired on ABC Family and ABC iview on April 20.
The show features puppet versions of the beloved animated creations and the voices of original cast members, Melanie Zanetti and Dave McCormack.
Bluey creator Joe Blumm has created a fresh storyline for the play, which centres on Bandit’s attempt to get some downtime on the family bean bag.
Meanwhile, Bandit’s kids, Bluey and Bingo, have no intention of letting their Dad have his time out.
Bluey’s Big Play was filmed at Sydney‘s Theatre Royal last year and was nominated for a prestigious Olivier Award for Best Family Show.

The show later toured Down Under, the US and Ireland.
Fans took to the show’s social media to gush over the announcement.
‘Oh, this is so exciting that Bluey’s Big Play is coming to TV!’ one fans said.
‘My Mum and I got to see the show this year and got to meet Bluey herself after the show and it was just so adorable and lots of fun!’ messaged one viewer.
Another fan simply said: ‘Really?!’
ABC’s Instagram page included a snap of the Bluey cast and members of the stage team.
But one Bluey fan seemed unsure about one detail in the costumes featured in the stage show.

According to a recent ratings survey, the beloved show has been one of the biggest success stories in the US over the last two years.
The children’s animated series has been riding high in the top ten shows streamed in the US for a massive 112 weeks.
The figures were compiled by the Nielsen ratings, which tracks viewership in the US, reported the Comicbook website.
In December, BBC Studios and The Walt Disney Company announced they are bringing Bluey’s first-ever animated feature film to the big screen.
It will be written and directed by the show’s creator Joe Brumm.
The CG animated film will be produced by award-winning animation producer Amber Naismith, while Richard Jeffery will return to co-direct the film.
It is set to be released in cinemas in 2027.
