Police asked the public for help Tuesday in their search for a hit-and-run driver who struck and injured a bicyclist in Huntington Beach over the weekend.

The crash was reported around 11 p.m. Saturday in the area of Arnett Drive and Irby Lane.

The unidentified bicyclist sustained “significant injuries after being struck by a minivan,” the Huntington Beach Police Department stated in its post on Instagram.

The driver, described as a Hispanic man between 20 and 30 years old, fled the scene without stopping to render aid or provide information, police said.

A vehicle sought in a hit-and-run collision is seen in this image shared by the Huntington Beach Police Department.

The vehicle was described as a metallic gray, silver or blue minivan. Police believe it was possibly a Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey with a California license plate possibly containing the characters 7, T, A and E, but not necessarily in that order.

Investigators believe the vehicle will have moderate front-end damage to the bumper, hood and windshield.

Anyone with information was asked to contact traffic investigator Rattanchandani at 714-536-5231 regarding case number #25-003079. Those who prefer to remain anonymous can call OC Crime Stoppers at 1-855-847-6227.
