At 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service released a beach hazards statement valid from Friday 1 a.m. until Saturday, Mar. 29 at 4 p.m. for Orange County Coast.
According to the NWS San Diego CA, “Elevated surf of 4 to 6 feet with sets to 7 feet expected.”
“Potentially dangerous swimming conditions, particularly for inexperienced swimmers,” according to the NWS. “A beach hazards statement is issued when threats such as rip currents and other hazards are possible. Caution should be used when in or near the water.”
