On Saturday at 1:40 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a beach hazards statement valid between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. for Orange County Coast.
According to the NWS San Diego CA, “Elevated surf of 3 to 6 feet with local sets to 7 feet, and dangerous rip currents expected.”
“Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions due to strong rip currents,” the NWS said. “Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.”
