Baltimore County Police are on the scene of a barricade situation in Towson, and a tactical unit is en route, according to the department Sunday morning.
Detective Anthony Shelton, a department spokesperson, said officers initially responded to a call in reference to a violation of a protective order in the 8000 block of Ridgeley Oak Road.
Shelton said that once police made contact with the suspect, a barricade situation ensued.
Police have set up a perimeter in the area. In a post on X, the department instructed people to stay out of the area as officers “try to resolve this peacefully.”
