AT LEAST one person has been killed after a private jet owned by Motley Crue star Vince Neil crashed into another plane on the runway of an Arizona airport.
The multi-million dollar jet horrifically smashed into another at around 2.45pm at the Scottsdale Airport around 20 miles from downtown Phoenix.
All flights at the Scottsdale Airport have since been grounded following the shock incident on Monday.
Reports claim one of the planes involved was owned by Motley Crue vocalist Vince Neil. It is not known if the rock star was on board.
Officials said the tragic incident happened as one jet veered off the runway and struck another after the left landing gear failed.
At least one person was killed following the deadly crash, according to AZ Family.
Three other people have been rushed to hospital and at least one person was being treated on the runway.
A rescue mission was also launched as one person was trapped inside the plane.
“We have five souls, one [dead on arrival], two immediate that have been transported to local trauma centres, one delayed stable to a local hospital, and this is still an active scene,” said Scottsdale Fire Department Captain Dave Folio.
“We are still working on extricating one soul out of one of the airplanes.”
“An accident has occurred upon arrival to runway 21,” the Scottsdale Airport said.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed two private jets collided and they have temporarily paused flights into the airport.
“Learjet 35A veered off the runway after landing and crashed into a Gulfstream 200 business jet on the ramp,” the FAA said.
It is currently unclear how many people were on board the two planes.
Terrifying footage caught the two jets mangled on the runway.
A video also captured ambulances and emergency crew rushing to the crash site.
The FAA said it was temporarily pausing flights into the airport.
It is not yet clear when operations and flights will resume.
An investigation has been launched into the horror airport incident.
This shock plane disaster comes just days after a horrifying private jet crash in Philadelphia.
Harrowing footage showed a fireball erupting in front of terrified onlookers after a medical jet plunged from the sky onto a busy area.
All six people on board were killed when the aircraft plummeted just 30 seconds after it took off.
One of the people on board was 11-year-old Valentina Guzman Murillo who had just undergone life-saving treatment.
Valentina had been in recovery after undergoing a major medical procedure back in September and was heading home to Mexico on the medical transport jet.
She was flying with her mom Lizeth Murillo Ozuna, 31, who was confirmed as a victim by the mayor of Ensenada, Mexico.
Also killed in the crash were Captain Alan Alejandro Montoya Perales, Copilot Josue de Jesus Juarez Juarez, Dr. Raul Meza Arredondo and paramedic Rodrigo Lopez Padilla.
Mayor Parker also said a driver on the ground was the seventh victim when the plane smashed into a road.
