At least one motorist was killed in a fiery crash on the 91 Freeway near the Orange County/Riverside County border early Wednesday morning.
The incident began when a vehicle stalled around 1 a.m. in the eastbound lanes just east of the 241 Toll Road.
About five minutes later, a second vehicle crashed into the back of the stalled car causing one of the vehicles to burst into flames, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Video showed debris scattered across the freeway lanes as firefighters doused the fire. Two other vehicles appeared to have also been involved in the crash at some point.

No further details regarding the crash or injuries were released but a coroner’s van was dispatched to the scene at 2 a.m.
Freelance media firm OnSceneTV reported that two people may have been killed in the collision but authorities have not confirmed the number of fatalities.
Officials shut down all eastbound lanes before temporarily opening a single lane.
Video appeared to show all lanes closed again just after 4 a.m. It was unclear when the freeway would reopen.
