A Los Angeles man was arrested in Anaheim and charged with human trafficking of a minor after a tip was submitted to the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force (OCHTTF), authorities announced Tuesday.
Authorities say the 31-year-old suspect, who is a convicted felon, is being held on $350,000 bail after being arrested and later charged by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office with human trafficking of a minor.
The OCHTTF on Nov. 21 received a tip about a 17-year-old girl being exploited for commercial sex and worked with the FBI, locating and arresting the person suspected of trafficking her and recovering the victim less than four hours after getting the tip, according to a statement from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and the Anaheim Police Department.
“This investigation illustrates the commitment of the OCHTTF and partnering agencies in locating and identifying victims of pimping or human trafficking,” the statement read in part.
