Ariana Grande‘s boyfriend Ethan Slater posed for a friendly snap with her brother Frankie Grande at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards on Friday night.

Proving he’s not concerned about the controversy surrounding his sister’s relationship with her Wicked co-star, 32, dancer Frankie, 41, looked in good spirits as he happily smiled for a snap alongside Ethan.

Ariana’s relationship with Ethan made headlines in mid-2023, shortly after her split from Dalton Gomez and Ethan’s divorce filing from his high school sweetheart Lilly Jay, with whom he shares a child. 

Frankie dressed to impress in a black sequin blazer teamed with dramatic eye make-up for the occasion, while Ethan kept things simple in a classic black suit.

While the two were happy to pose with each other, neither appeared in a snap with Side to Side hitmaker, 31, who instead hit the red carpet alongside Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman, 57.

However, they were still there to show their support as Ariana was later awarded the Rising Star Award for her role as Glinda The Good in the film adaptation of Wicked.

The singer and actress looked sensational on the night, donning a voluminous strapless white satin gown.

Ariana swept her hair into a tight updo, while accessorising her glamorous look with pointed white heels and a diamond choker. 

Ariana’s red carpet appearance and award win comes days after she shared a never-before seen snap with boyfriend Ethan Slater as she reflected on a monumental 2024.

The Wicked star cozied up to the Boq actor in a sweet black and white snap with fellow star Jeff Goldblum, 72.

She wrote: ‘A year full of art and heart. thank you eternally for your love and support, words truly don’t suffice. i love you always and am wishing you a all a very happy new year !

This comes after Grande treated fans to a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Wicked, with Slater missing.

Nowhere to be seen in the dozen snaps and clips, Ethan’s omission came just days after his ex-wife Lilly Jay broke her silence on their eyebrow-raising romance.

In a Thursday essay, Lilly revealed she moved to London with their two-month-old son while Ethan filmed Wicked, only for him to leave her for Ariana after they met on set. 

While her boyfriend and brother posed together, Ariana hit the red carpet with Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman, 57

Though reports claim Ariana and Ethan were ‘relieved’ that Jay didn’t completely throw them under the bus in her piece, Ariana seemed to keep her beau out of the spotlight in her cheerful carousel of Wicked moments.

‘One month of @wickedmovie, thank you for your overwhelming love and embrace! I love you, we love you,’ Ariana captioned the post.

Meanwhile, Lilly wrote in her essay, ‘I confidently moved to another country with my 2-month-old baby and my husband to support his career. Consumed by the magic and mundanity of new motherhood, I didn’t understand the growing distance between us.’

She expressed there are ‘days when I can’t escape the promotion of a movie associated with the saddest days of my life are darker’ as she while trying to ‘accept the sudden public downfall of my marriage.’

‘In this season of shock and mourning, over a year after the end of my marriage was made public, I deeply miss the life of invisibility I created for myself as a psychologist specializing in women’s mental health.’ 

Jay then stated that her ‘partnership has changed’ with Ethan, their ‘parenthood has not’ while raising their son.
