Police in tactical gear and with weapons drawn descended upon a quiet neighborhood in Arcadia after a man was shot to death in a possible home invasion robbery Tuesday afternoon.
The incident was reported shortly before 6:30 p.m. on the 50 block of Woodland Lane.
Video showed the officers arriving at the scene where a man was found with a gunshot wound.
“The male adult victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

The identity of the victim was not released.
Freelance media firm RMG News reported that a resident was shot during a home invasion robbery but authorities have not confirmed any details about the investigation.
There was also no immediate word on whether a suspect was in custody or being sought.
