ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Anne Arundel County officials said county buildings will open on Tuesday after a cyber incident forced operations to close on Sunday.
The cyber incident disrupted public services including limited access to the internet.
In an update, officials announced county buildings including senior activity centers will open to the public. This includes all recreation and regional park amenities and county recycling centers.
Starting on Tuesday, curbside trash collections will continue as scheduled.

On Sunday, the county said the incident originated externally. However, the investigation into what caused the incident is ongoing.
“Please note that the county is still taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our systems and will continue to update the public as more information becomes available,” said officials in a post on X.
