An American parent has been left shocked after The Wiggles committed an unexpected and very rude act on television.
The mother, who goes by The Final Rebrand on TikTok, shared a video to the social media platform as she revealed which surprising moment ‘got her attention’.
In the footage, the group sang the popular children’s song Where Is Thumbkin, which involves each finger being given a name with the poem leading a conversation between the characters.
However, it was when the song arrived at the ‘where is tall man’ section of the song that the unfortunate miscommunication arose.
The tall man in the song is represented by the middle finger and the parent confused the action with The Wiggles ‘flipping the bird’.
The parent zoomed in on Yellow Wiggle Tsehay Hawkins committing the apparent rude gesture with a gleeful smile on her face as she shared her shock.

The poster suggested that Tsehay was revelling in her surreptitious bird flipping as they lightheartedly wrote: ‘Tsehay meant that s**t.’
Sharing her shock over the apparent rude gesture, she added in a caption: ‘Welp…that got my attention.’
The hilarious post was met with a flurry of comments, with many similarly shocked parents issuing their surprise.
‘The Wiggles flipping the bird was not on my 2024 bingo card,’ one wrote while another jumped in: ‘Wiggles just flipped us off.’
Another fan claimed that it wasn’t the first time they had witnessed The Wiggles slipping in a joke for parents, with Captain Feathersword being a culprit.
‘I was watching one episode with my baby and Captain Feathersword called us all out ”now mums who’s here just for the purple guy”,’ they said, referring to ‘Hot’ Purple Wiggle John Pearce.
One Australian commenter said the supposed double entendre was water off a duck’s back for locals who grew up watching Play School.
‘They’re an Australian group, so the original Wiggles grew up watching John, Noni, and Benita on Play School.. which was full of in-jokes for parents,’ they shared.

In 2016, Play School stalwart Noni Hazlehurst revealed that she and co-presenter John Hamblin would sneak in a few gags for the adults in an attempt to make everyone happy.
The swearing ‘controversy’ comes as Wiggles star John is preparing to become a father for the first time.
John and Jessie, who tied the knot in 2019, confirmed they were expecting their first child back in June.
The announcement featured a touching video on Instagram of the emotional moment they discovered Jessie was pregnant, and they confirmed they are set to have a baby boy.
‘It has been a long journey but our beautiful angel has finally been sent to us,’ they captioned the post.
They are now counting down the final few days until welcoming their baby boy, who is due this month.
