WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — American Airlines said all of its flights were grounded on Christmas Eve after a “technical issue.”
Details are limited; however, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) told DC News Now that a nationwide ground stop was in effect for American Airlines across all airports Tuesday morning.
In an update shortly after, the administration announced that the ground stop was lifted.
“American Airlines reported a technical issue this morning and requested a nationwide ground stop. The ground stop has now been lifted,” said the FAA in a statement to DC News Now.
This is a developing story.
