Amanda Holden‘s week got off to a bad start on Monday as she got stuck in a lift on the way to work.
The radio presenter, 53, was on her way to her morning shift at Heart Radio with co-star Jamie Theakston, 54, when the lift she was travelling stopped suddenly.
Her ordeal was documented on Heart’s Instagram in which Amanda bemoaned her situation was an ‘absolute nightmare’ seeing as she desperately needed the loo at the time.
It is not known how long Amanda was stuck in the lift for, however, the incident made her miss the start of her show.
Filming herself in the lift as she called Jamie, Amanda remarked: ‘Jamie, you are not gonna believe this. The lift has literally just stopped.
‘I’ve pressed every single button and nothing’s happened! And I also need to go to the loo.’

Responding to his pal, Jamie – who was already in the studio for their shift – told her: ‘Don’t you worry about anything. You sit tight and…’
To which Amanda interjected: ‘I’ve got no choice! It’s a blinking nightmare!’
The video then cut to some time later, with Amanda finally making her way to the studio after being freed from the lift.
‘I am here!’ the Britain’s Got Talent judge exclaimed, while Jamie and the crew excitedly applauded her arrival.
Taking her seat, Amanda then huffed: ‘Oh my God, what an absolute nightmare! So scary.’
Before Jamie then enquired after her toilet situation.
Confirming that she did indeed make it, Amanda said: ‘I ran to the loo!’

The presenter and her co-host Jamie were stunned during a recent Heart Radio show after being surprised with personalised baked goods.
They were joined on air by Keith Scovell, known as Kakes By Keith – a baker who went viral on TikTok with his unique take on Claudia Winkleman, complete with Tic Tac teeth.
And Amanda and Jamie were the latest stars to receive the Kakes By Keith treatment as he gifted them their very own portrait cakes.
Amanda even took to doing an impression of her quirky-looking cake as she crossed her eyes and mimicked her own Tic Tac cheesy grin.
Fans of the presenter were bowled over by the cake and one even joked it looked like Amanda’s best friend Alan Carr wearing a wig.
‘Gee-whiz,’ Amanda declared as she unboxed the treat, before she started to giggle and said: ‘That actually does look like me.’
By his own admission, Keith Scovell’s creations would horrify small children – and no doubt the stars from whom he draws his inspiration.

But unflattering though they may be, the amateur baker insists his cakes are made with love, and more than a healthy dose of mischief.
Commenting on the clip of his Amanda and Jamie creations, Keith wrote: ‘Just the best morning. Tea , cake and a lot of giggles.
‘Thanks to all the amazing team, you made me feel amazing. And thank you Amanda and Jamie. So glad you loved your Kakes xx.’
Finding the cake hilarious, fans wrote: ‘Blimey! Madame Tussaud work of art! hahahaha,’;
