Amal Clooney has rallied round her sister, accessories designer Tala Alamuddin, as she rebuilds her life following the collapse of her second marriage.
Tala, 53, has separated from her husband, French businessman Nicolas Le Tallec, 45, with whom she lived in Singapore, and is now back on home turf living near her sibling.
Human rights lawyer Amal, 47, and husband George Clooney, 64 – who have homes in Berkshire and London as well as Los Angeles and Lake Como – are said to be supporting Tala as she navigates life post-divorce.
A spokesperson for Tala told the Daily Mail: ‘I can confirm she has separated from her ex-husband and is excited to be back in London and looking ahead to what’s next.
‘This move marks a new chapter for her, both personally and professionally, and she is very much focused on the positive opportunities ahead.’
A friend close to Tala said the sisters are ‘delighted’ to live near each other again after Tala’s many years in Singapore, with their relationship having always been a ‘rock-solid bond’ that has sustained them both through life’s challenges.

‘Having Amal – and her other family and close friends – so close to her again means everything to Tala as she navigates this new phase of her life,’ the friend added.
The sisters, who are often likened to one another due to their glossy dark locks and sculpted cheekbones, have always had a close relationship despite their respective careers and personal circumstances taking them to different corners of the globe.
At Amal’s star-studded Venice wedding to Hollywood icon George in 2014, Tala was a bridesmaid and played a key role in organising the big day.
Born to Lebanese businessman Ramzi Alamuddin and political journalist Baria Alamuddin in Beirut, Lebanon, the sisters moved to the UK with their family in 1980 to escape the Lebanese Civil War, settling in Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire.
Tala studied at Richmond American International University in London and remained in the UK for several years alongside Amal until she moved to New York to work as an events manager.
She later moved to Singapore after marrying her first husband, Singapore-based Lebanese businessman Nagi Hamiyeh, 56, with whom she had three children.
Their daughter Mia, 23 – who was a flower girl at Amal and George’s wedding – also lives in London and is following in Amal’s footsteps after recently graduating from London’s BPP Law School with a distinction.
Tala and Nagi got divorced in 2016, a year after which Tala founded her accessories label, TALA by Tala Alamuddin, selling colourful rock-chic handbags, jewellery and clothing.

At Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018, Amal paired her yellow Stella McCartney dress with a chic clutch from her sister’s line.
Shortly after her divorce, Tala married Nico, who was living in Singapore at the time and working for the British financial services company, Marex Spectron.
It is understood that Nico has remained in Singapore while Tala rebuilds her life in the UK.
Last week, Tala opened up about returning home in a candid reflection on Instagram.
‘There’s something both grounding and unfamiliar about coming home,’ she wrote. ‘After years in Singapore – raising my family, building, creating, and moving at full speed – I’ve found myself back in London, in a new rhythm, in a new chapter.

‘The city feels different this time. Maybe because I am, too. My children are grown, my pace has shifted, and I’m learning to prioritise myself again – my creativity, my health, my time.
‘Here’s to new routines, new friends, rediscovering old ones, and embracing the beauty of reinvention and… beginning again.’
Her spokesperson added: ‘Tala continues to build TALA by Tala Alamuddin with London providing a strong and inspiring base as she expands the brand’s wellness led offering alongside its luxury accessories.
‘A key focus at present is transitioning the business to a made to order model, leading by example in furthering sustainability efforts.’
She has also launched an innovative product called TotallySynced ring covers, compatible with the Oura 4 smart ring and designed to encourage ‘daily intention setting, balance and self-connection’.
‘These are the only rings we know of in the world that have zero sensor interference as well as being fully removable and reattach-able by yourself,’ her spokesperson explained.
‘This work reflects Tala’s growing passion and deepening commitment to her purpose of supporting women to live the life they desire.’
