(NewsNation) — Vice President Kamala Harris must take a firmer stance supporting Israel and admonishing anti-Israel protesters ahead of the 2024 election, lawyer Alan Dershowitz tells NewsNation.
“I want to vote for her. Please. Let me do that. Don’t make me violate my conscience … Don’t make me leave my party,” he said Friday on “Elizabeth Vargas Reports.”
Dershowitz, a Harvard law professor emeritus, recently published an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal asking this question: Will I have to vote for Donald Trump? In the piece, he outlined Harris’ path to winning him over this November.
That includes denouncing antisemitism in America, cracking down on Iran’s nuclear weapon development and avoiding adding anti-Israel members to the Harris-Walz team.
“Look, I’m not thrilled with the Republicans, either. That’s why I say she can get my vote. I prefer to vote for her, but I want to hear her make some strong statements,” he said.
