When Al Pacino welcomed his fourth child – 16-month-old son Roman Alfallah Pacino – last year, he realized that fatherhood felt the same regardless if you’re 30 or 84.
‘It’s always the same. It’s always the same. It’s a mini miracle. That’s all I can say,’ the octogenarian acting legend told People on Thursday.
‘It’s just so wonderful to have children. For me, I loved it. It changed me for, if you want to say, the better. It changed me for life. And the idea that you’re throwing your focus on other humans who happen to be your children… there’s the love.’
Last week, Al (born Alfredo) told the New York Times that little Roman has ‘come into the world a little more now. He’s learning things.’

The Apprentice executive producer has since been on ‘several dates’ with Real Time host Bill Maher who, at 68, is 38 years older than her.

Next Tuesday, Penguin Press will publish Pacino’s first-ever memoir Sonny Boy, and he’ll also narrate the ebook/audiobook which could potentially garner him a Grammy Award.
The Harlem-born New Yorker happens to be only a Grammy away from elite EGOT status after winning two Tony Awards, an Oscar, and two Emmy Awards for his numerous performances spanning 1969-2004.
Al was nicknamed ‘Sonny’ back when he was a rebellious teenager attending High School of Performing Arts in Manhattan, which was made famous in Alan Parker’s 1980 film Fame.
Pacino eventually learned method acting from Lee Strasberg at The Actors Studio (he remains co-president to this day) and began appearing in off-Broadway plays.
