Holiday hell
TO save his own skin, shape-shifting Sir Keir Starmer has suddenly adopted a new identity as a champion of the working classes.
But what this Government says and what it does are very different things.
What could be worse for lower-income working families than a senseless tax on their hard-earned holidays?
The Visitor Levy on hotels and holiday parks is likely to add over £100 to the cost of a family’s two-week break here in Britain.

In the Red Ed
NET Zero will take electricity prices by 2030 higher than their peak during the Ukraine war, according to British Gas bosses.
Record energy costs have been the chief cause of the cost-of-living crisis, driving up the price of everything from a pint to a bag of fish and chips.
Ed Miliband’s dash for solar and wind power has led him to make ruinously expensive wind farm deals and spend tens of billions on infrastructure.
He is dumping these costs on to customers, while denying them any chance of the cheaper electricity we all desperately need.
Reeves EU-turn
JUST last month Rachel Reeves told Labour MPs that Britain “couldn’t go back in time” over Brexit.
Going back to a Customs Union would, she argued, put trade deals with the US, India and others at risk.
But now that the Chancellor and Prime Minister find themselves in hock to the left-wingers, suddenly all that has gone out of the window.
Now she talks of “the biggest prize” being closer ties to the EU in the “national interest”.
Millions of working-class people voted Leave a decade ago.
It appears Labour’s leadership is prepared to betray them as part of a giant exercise in self-interest.
