A rainy and chaotic end to the work week is making way for what should be a pleasant weather weekend in Southern California, according to forecasts.
A sunny start to Saturday was likely a welcome sight to many who endured heavy rainfall for a few days throughout the region — however some light clouds were expected to come in around the afternoon hours, according to the National Weather Service.
High temperatures on Saturday were predicted to remain between the mid 60s to the low 70s, except for the mountains where a high of about 46 degrees was forecast.
Expect a chilly night on Saturday, however, as lows dip into the mid 40s across Southern California with some gusty winds.
On Sunday, the clouds were predicted to hand in the air with high temperatures firmly in the 70s for all except along the coast and in the mountains. Another breezy, cold night with temperatures in the 40s will likely ensue.
From Monday on, the clouds are expected to slowly dissipate, leaving a sunny week ahead for Southern California.
Despite earlier predictions that rain could return to the region by Thursday, updated forecasts on Saturday showed no sign of precipitation in the upcoming week. That, of course, could change in the coming days.
