Victoria Beckham has revealed her daughter Harper’s ‘really bad’ battle with acne has inspired the teen to launch her very own beauty brand.

The former Spice Girl, 51, whose own beauty and fashion business is worth a whopping £500M, explained the young entrepreneur had always been ambitions before her own skin struggles offered inspiration.

During an appearance on the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast, Victoria said: ‘She came to me two or three years ago and she was really struggling with her skin.

‘She used to have beautiful skin, but like all young girls she was enticed by beauty brands and she was putting a lot of product on her face that was not suitable for her skin and consequently ended up going to see a dermatologist because her skin was really, really bad.’

Victoria detailed her own battles with acne and said she could relate to her daughter’s struggles: ‘[Harper] said “I want to create a brand because I know what I want and I don’t want other people to have to go through what I have been through”‘.

Victoria said the ambitious teen even approached her with PowerPoint presentations in the early stages of getting her beauty line off the ground.

‘One [PowerPoint] about this brand that she wanted to create because she was struggling with her skin’, she said. ‘And the other one was a reason as to why I should let her have a perm’.

Victoria added: ‘I’m so proud of all my children, but you know Harper is very ambitious, she’s very appropriate but I don’t know what I expected to be honest.

‘I mean, she’s been sitting on my lap taking part in beauty development meetings ever since she was little.’

Harper’s line is said to be aimed at Gen Z and Gen Alpha, inspired by South Korean cosmetics and is due to launch in late summer. You can read the full story here.

Meanwhile the Spice Girls are reportedly in talks for an Abba-style hologram show to mark their 30th anniversary – after their reunion tour was axed.

Bandmates Mel B, Geri Horner, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Victoria had been in talks for a series of concerts to celebrate three decades since the release of their debut single Wannabe.

However, it was reported last month that the group couldn’t come to an agreement on a reunion.

But now, instead, they could be about to follow in the footsteps of the ABBA Voyage set up which was launched in 2022 and turned the band into digital avatars.

The Sun reports Victoria said on SiriusXM radio this week: ‘I think it would be a great idea.

‘The principle of it would be great. We were talking about it at dinner, but we’ll see.’

It had previously been rumoured that discussions were ongoing about it with their former manager Simon Fuller.

A source told the publication: ‘Simon is desperate to have one last hurrah with the Spice Girls and this is his latest idea.

‘He was the person who came up with the original idea for Abba and their digital show and he thinks this model could work perfectly for the group.

‘Simon knows this plan would mean the band would be making money in their sleep and it would open up their music to a whole new generation.’

Victoria last performed with the band during the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony and before that she joined the band on their 2007-08 world tour.

Geri left the band in 1998 in the middle of their world tour and on Mel B’s birthday.

Geri’s departure from the band hit headlines across the world and the group went on hiatus two years later.

The Spice Girls shot to fame in 1996 when their debut single Wannabe reached number one in 37 countries.

The girl group reached the top of the UK charts nine times and had two number one albums. When Geri left the band, she launched a solo career and enjoyed four number one singles in the UK.
