EXCLUSIVE: Andria Spring has joined Hammerstone Studios (By Any Means, At the Sea) as SVP Post-Production.

Specializing in post-production, finance, and overall project management, Spring comes to Hammerstone following nearly a decade at Bron Studios, during which she rose from Head of Post-Production to EVP Production. During her time there, she earned producer credits on titles such as Monkey Man, Surrounded, The Survivor, Those Who Wish Me Dead, Pieces of a Woman, The Red Sea Diving Resort, and more.

Prior to that, Spring held roles at Picture Shop, UBC, AVerMediam and Anagram Pictures. She embarked on her entertainment career after graduating from the film production degree program at The University of British Columbia, where she has subsequently returned as a professor and guest lecturer.

Hammerstone Studios is coming off the hiring of Karina Manashil as SVP of Creative and Brand Development. They’re the financier and producer behind By Any Means, the Civil Rights-era thriller starring Yahya Abdul Mateen II and Mark Wahlberg that we first reported on, which Paramount recently acquired for theatrical release. Also known for Barbarian, Bill & Ted Face the Music, Don’t Move, Flight Risk and more, their upcoming slate also includes At the Sea, the Kornél Mundruczó drama starring Amy Adams, which premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival, as well as Kung Fury 2, starring Michael Fassbender and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In post alongside By Any Means, the company has Iconoclast, the directorial debut of Gabriel Basso, co-starring Courtney Eaton, Rain Spencer, and Noah Centineo. They’re currently in production on Jeron Braxton’s animated feature Slime, with a voice cast including Willow Smith, Kid Cudi, Teyana Taylor and more, as well as Spotlight Oscar winner Tom McCarthy’s The Statement for Sony Pictures Classics.

Most recently, Hammerstone announced its financing of Little Ones, a dark comedy from director Alex Kavutskiy that will reunite the company with Barbarian collaborators Zach Cregger and Roy Lee.
