IRAN has “agreed to never have a nuclear weapon” as part of a deal with the US, Donald Trump has revealed in the White House.

The US President confirmed “we’re in negotiations right now,” adding that Iran has given the US a “very big present” related to both energy and the Strait of Hormuz.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, he said the gift was “oil and gas-related” and added: “… They’re going to make a deal. They did something yesterday that was amazing, actually.

“They gave us a present, and the present arrived today. It was a very big present worth a tremendous amount of money, and I’m not going to tell you what that present is, but it was a very significant prize.

“That meant one thing to me – we’re dealing with the right people.”

He stressed that Iranians “want to make a deal so badly, you have no idea how badly they want to make a deal” as the war entered its fourth week.

Describing the US operation in the country as a “tremendous success”, the president focused on taking out the Iranian leaders, military and navy.

“The leaders are all gone. Nobody knows who to talk to,” Trump said.

Trump also did not reveal whether his trusted envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will be sent to discuss peace plans with a delegation from Iran later this week.

Pakistan has said it is willing to host talks between the US and Iran.
