Fremantle bosses will no longer take the stage at Series Mania.

CEO Jenninfer Mullin and Europe boss Andrea Scrosati were due to speak tomorrow afternoon but a Fremantle spokeswoman told us Mullin will remain in the States as she is dealing with a personal matter. The spokeswoman confirmed that Scrosati will not speak alone at the event.

Mullin and Scrosati were two of the most high-profile executives set to address the Lille confab as the industry-facing Forum part of events kicks off today.

The most senior execs at the Got Talent and Normal People maker were due to discuss “strategic objectives shaping the future of storytelling” along with “insight into how Fremantle is redefining what it means to create, distribute, and monetize premium multi-genre IP.”

Their appearance was due to come as Fremantle turns 25. The company owns a plethora of indies and has talent deals with the likes of Angelina Jolie and Edward Berger. That talent deal strategy is evolving however, as detailed in Fremantle’s latest annual results, which showed a 10% revenue drop.

Elsewhere, Series Mania 2026 has keynotes from the likes of Russell T. Davies, Disney Europe boss Angela Jain and HBO’s Sarah Aubrey. The forum starts today and ends Thursday, while the event started over the weekend with a premiere for Hulu’s buzzy Margaret Attwood adaptation The Testaments.
