THIS is the shocking moment a huge fire rips through a car plant – injuring at least 55 and leaving 14 missing.
Dramatic footage shows workers escaping the inferno by leaping out of windows to safety as a huge cloud of grey smoke billows from the site.
At least 55 people have been injured in the inferno, which erupted at a car part plant in Daejeon, South Korea.
Desperate workers trapped inside the factory can be seen dangling from window ledges before dropping to the ground to safety.
Some have been spotted climbing down ladders as firefighters tackled the enormous blaze.
It was likely caused by an explosion, the National Fire Agency said, adding that the fire spread rapidly.
Officials said 24 people were seriously hurt, but would not specify if any of those were in life-threatening condition.
They warned the number of dead could rise, with a desperate search underway for 14 people still missing.
Another clip, captured by a motorbike rider passing the blaze, shows emergency services rushing to the scene.
It reveals the massive scale of the fire, panning to show a huge expanse of smoke billowing from the plant.
At the time of the blaze, a reported 170 workers were inside the building.
There are fears that it could collapse completely, local fire chief Nam Deuk-woo warned.
Officials said around 440 pounds of highly reactive chemicals were being stored in the plant.
Firefighters worked quickly to remove the potentially explosive substances from the site and stop the blaze spreading further.
Some people were injured jumping from the building to escape.
Others suffered from smoke inhalation.
Police are using mobile phone signals to track the 14 people who are still missing.
More than 500 firefighters, police and other emergency workers were sent to the scene.
In areas difficult for crews to access, two firefighting robots were used.
