Yesterday David Sherborne, for the claimant, suggested she paid a PI firm to “blag” information on Ms Frost’s ectopic pregnancy and subsequent termination in 2003.

Ms Nicholl told the trial: “I did not blag any medical information.”

The story was never published as Ms Frost, now 60, denied it.

She is one of seven claimants suing the Mail’s publisher Associated Newspapers over allegations of unlawful information gathering.

Associated denies the allegations and the trial continues.
