Ryan Gosling is hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend to promote his new film Project Hail Mary, directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, which is being released on March 20. In the new promo for the upcoming show, however, SNL featured player Ashley Padilla has another movie on her mind.

In the bit, Padilla tells Gosling she loved Project Hail Mary.

When asked what parts she liked, she replies, “The space stuff, and the part where I took out my phone and watched a scene from The Notebook. You know, that one in the rain?”

Gosling replies, “That’s what I was afraid of. You know, that was a long time ago. It’s over.”

That last line triggers something in Padilla, who then launches into the classic “It still isn’t over” scene from the film.

Watch below.

This week’s episode marks the SNL debut for British animated band Gorillaz, which was formed by Blur’s Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett. The group released their latest album, The Mountain, on February 27.

SNL airs this Saturday, March 7 at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and Peacock.
